The Saskatchewan Agriculture Student Scholarship 2026 is an excellent opportunity for young students passionate about agriculture and the future of Canada’s agri-food sector. Offered by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture, this scholarship encourages the next generation of leaders, innovators, and communicators in agriculture. Funded through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP), the program supports students pursuing agriculture-related post-secondary studies starting in Fall 2026.
About the Saskatchewan Agriculture Student Scholarship 2026
This prestigious scholarship aims to promote careers in agriculture by supporting high school graduates who wish to contribute to Saskatchewan’s thriving agriculture and agri-food industry. With tens of thousands of jobs across research, production, technology, food processing, finance, and sustainability, agriculture remains a major economic pillar in Saskatchewan.
Students must submit either a 3-minute video or a 1,000-word essay based on the 2026 theme:
“Solutions to Challenges in Agriculture.”

The scholarship supports students entering undergraduate studies in agriculture-related fields at any accredited post-secondary institution in Canada.
Available Subjects
Applicants must plan to study agriculture-related programs, such as:
Agricultural Sciences, Agribusiness, Agronomy, Crop Science, Animal Science, Soil Science, Food Science & Technology, Environmental Science, Agricultural Engineering, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Pathology, Agri-Food Management, Sustainable Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Any program directly connected to agriculture, food systems, or agri-innovation is acceptable.

Eligible Nationalities
Only residents of Saskatchewan (Canada) are eligible.
Applicants must be Grade 12 students or recent high school/GED graduates (within the past 2 years).
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
Be a Grade 12 student, or a recent high school/GED graduate (within the last two school years).
Be a resident of Saskatchewan.
Plan to enroll in an agriculture-related post-secondary program beginning Fall 2026.
Submit:
A creative 3-minute video or 1,000-word essay
A letter of conditional acceptance from a Canadian post-secondary institution
A letter of recommendation (from a teacher, professor, industry leader, or community leader)
Align submission with the 2026 theme: Solutions to challenges in agriculture.
NOT be an employee or immediate family member of the Ministry of Agriculture or the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation.
Applications from Indigenous students, visible minorities, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged.
