Built-in design, smart connectivity, and focus on hygiene mark Xiaomi’s new bet in the home laundry segment, with high capacity, multiple programs, and technologies aimed at washing efficiency and noise reduction in residential environments.

Xiaomi has launched in China the Mijia 12Kg Ultra-Slim Built-In Drum Washing Machine, a new washing machine with a 12 kg capacity, 27 programs, integration with the Mi Home app, and a proposal for built-in installation with a more discreet finish in the laundry room.

With a suggested price of 1,699 yuan and an initial offer of 1,399 yuan on the Youpin platform, the model arrives in the Chinese market reinforcing the brand’s strategy in smart appliances, although there is still no official confirmation of sales in Brazil.

Built-in installation and minimalist design in the laundry room

Designed for planned environments, the new washer from the Mijia line was developed for a nearly gapless fit, reducing dust accumulation on the sides and delivering a cleaner finish, aligned with modern proposals for integrated laundries.

On the front, a rotary button centralizes cycle control and facilitates everyday use, while preserving the minimalist visual identity that Xiaomi has been adopting in various connected home devices.

12 kg capacity and expanded drum for bulky items

Aimed at larger families or those dealing with more robust volumes of clothing, the 12 kg capacity allows washing items like duvets and blankets more efficiently, without requiring multiple cycles to complete the task.

Additionally, the drum has a 525 mm diameter, a dimension that expands the internal space and favors the movement of items during washing, contributing to a more uniform and less aggressive process on fabrics.

According to the disclosed specifications, the washing rate reaches 1.25, an index cited in launch materials as superior to the common standard, indicating greater efficiency in dirt removal without a proportional increase in wear.

In addition, the equipment offers 27 washing programs, including cycles adjusted for different fabrics and dirt levels, reducing the need for manual settings and making everyday use more practical.

3D water flow and uniform detergent distribution

Among the cleaning-oriented features, the 3D water flow system stands out, developed to intensify internal circulation and improve the penetration of the washing solution into the fibers of the clothes.

Another important element is the pre-mixing of detergent, which occurs before contact with the items and helps avoid residue accumulation, as well as ensuring more homogeneous product distribution in larger loads.

Steam sterilization focusing on germ elimination

In the field of hygiene, Xiaomi included a steam sterilization mode capable of eliminating up to 99.999% of bacteria and viruses, according to data presented during the product announcement.

This system combines water heating, high-temperature rinsing, and steam release, creating more effective conditions to reduce microorganisms present on clothes after use.

As a complement, the door seal rubber features a nano-antibacterial treatment, a measure that acts in preventing contamination in the internal area and follows the recent trend of appliances aimed at deep cleaning.

Remote control via Mi Home app and HyperOS integration

In terms of technology, connectivity appears as one of the pillars of the launch, with integration into the **HyperOS** ecosystem and remote control through the Mi Home application.

From their smartphone, the user can start cycles, monitor the washing progress, and receive system updates, increasing the level of automation in domestic use.

Furthermore, compatibility with voice commands via XiaoAI reinforces the proposal for integration between different smart devices from the brand, consolidating the washing machine within a connected environment.

Silent system with dual suspension and less vibration

To minimize noise, Xiaomi adopted a six-dimensional vibration reduction system, combined with a structure featuring dual suspension and multiple shock absorbers that directly impact the equipment’s stability.

During spinning, this configuration helps contain excessive movements and contributes to quieter operation, a relevant feature in homes with integrated spaces or varied usage times.

There is also a layered sound attenuation construction, a strategy that seeks to reduce noise propagation and make daily use more comfortable.

Even with the robust set of features, availability outside of China has not yet been officially detailed, keeping the launch restricted to the local market and the Youpin platform for now.
