Overview of position
- The ICT Project Support will be working under the direct supervision of & report to the Chief Information Technology / Operations & the Chief Field Technology Section in the, Republic of South Sudan.
- The contracted personnel will be required to provide management & monitoring of ICT assets, creating reports, responding to queries from supply chain management, mission leadership & auditors in the mission.
- Additionally, s / he will also assist & support all other field office locations throughout the mission area whenever required.
Role objectives
- Manage, monitor the section assets & keep track the end to end movement of assets from the warehouse to the clients.
- Monitoring of stock level of ICT & other items to carry out operations & satisfy, follow up demand of clients.
- Maintain stock inventory of both non expendable & expendable items in coordination with the warehouse.
- Liaise with FTS warehouse team on the delivery & inspection of assets.
- Assist in the conduct of inventory of both non expendable & expendable items in the warehouse.
- Assist in identifying inventory discrepancies & guide SAU’s on consequent reconciliation & in line with audit observation on a monthly basis.
- Produce detailed reports or dashboards on mission inventory related activities, with special attention on delays in write off process & overstocking of equipment on a monthly, calendar & financial year basis as per mission guidance.
- Draft responses on queries, reports & analysis required by supply chain management on a regular basis.
- Provide product specific training whenever required.
- Be on call & provide 24 x 7 provide support to logistical issues or problems when required.
- Perform any other duties & tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Project reporting
This role will be working under the direct supervision of & report to the Chief Information Technology / Operations & the Chief Field Technology Section.
Key competencies
- Degree or diploma computer science, information technology, computer engineering, telecommunications engineer or any other related field.
- Must have at least 5 years of working experience in logistics.
- Must have ERP System (UMOJA) knowledge, certificates & experience.
- Experience in developing Power BI dashboards & reports is required.
- Knowledge of CRM (iNeed), field support suite & other enterprise applications are desirable.
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Suite, Power BI & others.
- Must have a national driver’s license & able to drive a light motor vehicle with manual transmission.
- Must be fluent in English, both written & oral.
- Excellent client orientation skills with attention to details.
- Strong communication & organizational skills.
- Detail oriented planning & high degree of accuracy & safety.
- Works collaboratively with & supports colleagues / clients to achieve common goals.
Team management
This role has no team management responsibility.
