IFC’s Johannesburg Office is seeking an intern as part of our Global Internship Program (GIP). The Global Internship Program (GIP) offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of the IFC and the broader World Bank Group and become part of the largest private sector development institution in the world. The program encourages individuals to bring new perspectives and innovative ideas to IFC’s work while improving skills in a diverse and highly stimulating environment. Moreover, the Global Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and network with international professionals dedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity in the developing world.
The Internship period will be between May 2023– July 2023.
Duties and Accountabilities:
Supporting integrated ESG Advisory Projects in Africa
Developing and refining training material
Supporting and organizing events
Supporting administration of projects (essential project management).
Selection Criteria
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master’ s degree level program with an expected graduation date after December 1st, 2023, to be eligible.
Field of study, Master’s in Business Administration or Master’ s Level Degree related to environmental/sustainability
Previous work experience in market research
Strong MS skills (excel, ppt), strong writing and editing skills (English and French if possible)
Strong analytical, synthesizing, and communication skills
Graduates who are passionate about working in the field of sustainability, improving environmental management systems, working with clients in training and workshops, and writing reports
Fluency in French, English
