Presto Engineering, a leading European expert in application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design, engineering and production services, has announced that it is becoming a member of the MEDICALPS cluster. The company says this initiative is part of its commitment to understanding the challenges and needs of medical device companies, ensuring continued innovation and delivery of top-tier ASIC design solutions for its healthcare customers.
Cedric Mayor, CEO of Presto Engineering said: “Joining MEDICALPS will enable us to further collaborate with key players in the medical device industry, facilitating an even deeper understanding of their unique challenges and roadmap of comprehensive solutions. Our participation in the cluster will ensure our continued close alignment with the specific needs and regulatory requirements of the medical sector, driving our efforts to innovate and deliver customised ASIC solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.”
Presto Engineering has a history of delivering ASIC designs tailored to the medical industry, and successfully achieved the EN ISO 13485 quality certification last July for its Denmark hub. Presto’s integrated circuit solutions support a range of applications, including point-of-care diagnostics, patient monitoring and medical wearables.
Mayor added: “Presto Engineering has been based in Grenoble for over 15 years. Joining the dynamic cluster of companies in the French Alps led by MEDICALPS and playing a greater role in a local ecosystem with a worldwide reputation for healthcare innovation, was a natural next step we are excited to take.”
Sebastien Weisbuch, CEO of MEDICALPS added: “We are pleased to welcome Presto Engineering to the MEDICALPS community. Presto’s commitment to innovation in the field of medical devices, and its strong roots in the Grenoble area, make a valuable addition to our network. We look forward to the collaborative opportunities this membership will bring.”
