How can you make a difference?
Under the direct supervision of the Child Protection Program Officer, the intern will be called upon in particular to:
Simultaneous interpretation
Document translation
Translation of the reference document for the care of repatriated children from Arabic into French and English.
The translation of the evaluation study on the fight against online violence against children in Tunisia.
The translation of all the working tools developed for the strengthening of the case management system in Tunisia from Arabic to French and vice versa.
The translation of the mapping of child protection services from Arabic into French.
The translation of the child protection delegate’s guide for the classification of threat cases.
The translation of the technical sheets relating to the follow-up of the recommendations of the CRC committee from Arabic into French.
Translation of research protocol tools and collection tools for Disrupting Harm.
Translation into French of the manual of procedures and use of the SI Amen Social.
Ongoing support for the section in terms of translation into French, l’anglais ou l’arabe des notes conceptuelles, agendas, présentations, communiqués de presse…
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Candidates must meet the following conditions:
The candidate must be at least 18 years old.
The candidate must be of Tunisian nationality or living in Tunisia.
The candidate must have a good command of Arabic, French and/or English. Good writing skills in Arabic, French and/or English is required.
Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree. program of study or have graduated within the past two years.
Have excellent academic results, attested by a recent university or institutional record.
Any previous experience in the United Nations system will also be taken into consideration.
The successful candidate will be required to provide medical coverage insurance valid for the duration of the internship.
Not having close relatives (father, mother, brother, sister) working in a UNICEF office and not having other relatives in the hierarchical line to which the intern will report.

Remarks:
UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions. Appointments may also be subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid). Government employees that are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
