CTG overview:

CTG recruits, deploys and manages the right people with the right skills to implement humanitarian and development projects, from cleaners to obstetricians, and mechanics to infection specialists, we’re skilled in emergency response to crises such as the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Key to successful project delivery is the ability to mobilize at speed; CTG can source and deploy anyone, anywhere, in less than 2 weeks and have done so in 48 hours on a number of occasions.

Through our efficient and agile HR, logistical and operational services, CTG saves multilateral organizations time and money. We handle all our clients’ HR related issues, so they are free to focus on their core services.

Overview of position:

During the 6-month internship the candidate will work in the safety & security department. This is a role for someone who aspires to work in the Duty of Care (DoC) space in either the humanitarian or private sector.

Role objectives:

Conducts research into relevant Duty of Care (DoC) topics to support the business.

Writes articles & posts on DoC topics for CTG countries of operations.

Support in country safety & security teams on areas of priority.

DoC event planning & handling.

Visit to a CTG country of operation to conduct field research.

Support the Global Risk Manager on DoC related tasks.

Project reporting:

This role will report to the Global Risk Manager.

Key competencies:

Must be a recent graduate in international relations, global security or political science.

1 year of experience in security services / industry is desired.

Must be fluent in English.

Team management:

This role has no team management responsibility.
