Eligible Nationalities
The scholarship is open to international students from developing countries who meet the DAAD EPOS eligibility requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be citizens of eligible developing countries.
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree.
- The academic degree should not be older than six years at the time of application.
- Applicants must have at least two years of relevant professional work experience after their bachelor’s degree.
- Internships and volunteer work are not considered valid work experience.
- University teaching and academic research experience are generally not accepted except in special cases.
- Applicants should have above-average academic results, typically in the top third of their class.
- Applicants must not have lived in Germany for more than 15 months before applying.
- Candidates who already hold a master’s degree must justify why funding for another postgraduate degree is necessary.
