Country Office Administrative Support Units (USCs) have been established in the organizational chart to provide support to managers and staff to enable them to fully exercise their responsibilities in the GSM environment and to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, rules and regulations in all transactions or for all administrative and financial matters, in the context of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Officer, the incumbent performs the following duties: -Drives the vehicles of the service to ensure the transport of authorized personnel and the delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items; Welcomes official staff at the airport and facilitates customs and immigration formalities, as required; Responsible for the daily maintenance of the vehicle affects, checks oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc., carries out minor repairs and makes arrangements for other repairs, regular maintenance and ensures that the vehicle remains clean; Records official travel, mileage, fuel consumption, daily oil change, lubrication, etc.; Ensures that the measures prescribed by the rules and regulations are taken in the event of an accident; Execute any other assigned tasks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: At least the lower secondary school certificate and a driving license valid for all categories of the country.

Desirable: Experience

Essential: Have at least one year of progressive experience in driving as a driver and safe driving anecdotes.

Desirable: Experience in the UN system would be an advantage.

Skills

Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the country in terms of driving and ability to carry out minor repairs of the vehicle; Ability to read, write and understand instructions in the working language andA ability to compile a concise and accurate report of accidents.

Essential: Expert knowledge of French.

REMUNERATION

WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at XAF 5,050,000 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
