Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Canada-ASEAN SEED Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be citizens of an ASEAN member state, including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam.
- Be enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in an ASEAN country.
- Pay tuition fees to their home institution during the scholarship period.
- Not hold Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a pending Canadian visa application.
- Not be currently participating in another Government of Canada-funded scholarship.
Application Procedure
The application for the Canada-ASEAN SEED Scholarship 2025 must be submitted by a Canadian post-secondary institution on behalf of eligible students. The steps include:
- Contact a Canadian Institution: Ensure the institution is a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) and has a valid exchange agreement.
- Prepare Required Documents:
- Copy of passport or national ID
- Signed Privacy Notice Statement
- Letter of Intent explaining study plans in Canada
- Proof of full-time enrollment from the home institution
- Letter of support from the home institution
