Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for a DMACC Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Educational Background: Earn a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma before the start of the Fall 2025 term.

Enrollment Status:

  • Be a current DMACC student or an incoming student admitted to DMACC.
  • Enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours for Fall and Spring terms or a minimum of 4 credit hours for the Summer term.
  • Academic Performance: Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Financial Aid Status: Students on financial aid suspension or attending as guest students are ineligible.

Application Procedure

Application Cycles and Deadlines

The DMACC Foundation offers two application cycles for the 2025-2026 academic year:

  • Cycle 1: December 1, 2024 – March 1, 2025
  • Cycle 2: May 1, 2025 – July 15, 2025

It’s crucial to submit your application before the deadline to ensure consideration.

Admission to DMACC:

  • Ensure you have been admitted to DMACC and have your student ID and password ready. Incoming students without a DMACC username must complete the admission application first.
  • Sign In to the Scholarship Portal:
  • Visit the DMACC Foundation Scholarship Portaland sign in using your DMACC credentials.

Complete the General Application:

  • Fill out the General Application by answering questions designed to match you with eligible scholarships.
  • Write two original essays as part of the application process.

Note: The use of AI tools for writing essays is strictly prohibited.

Review and Submit:

Carefully review your application and essays before submitting. Click “Finish and Submit” to finalize your application.

Notifications:

Scholarship decisions will be sent to your DMACC email. Processing typically takes 4–5 weeks after the deadline.
