IFC’s Rabat Office is seeking an intern as part of our Global Internship Program (GIP). The Global Internship Program (GIP) offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of the IFC and the broader World Bank Group and become part of the largest private sector development institution in the world. The program encourages individuals to bring new perspectives and innovative ideas to IFC’s work while improving skills in a diverse and highly stimulating environment. Moreover, the Global Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and network with international professionals dedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity in the developing world.

The Internship period will be between, May 2023– August 2023.

Duties and Accountabilities:

Core Project:

Support the Country Management Unit (CMU) in raising the profile of the 2023 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF that will take place in October 2023 in Marrakesh. Contribute to the development of a concept, and organization of a flagship event on renewable including a background study on the sector.

Secondary Projects:

Support the Country Manager/Officer in the development of comprehensive concept notes for strategic initiatives

Contribute to and share knowledge on major new corporate initiatives relevant to Morocco or the broader region

Provide analysis and market research support across countries, sectors, regions, and clients

Draft strategic papers and contribute to concept notes for new initiatives of the Country Management Unit

Prepare briefings for conferences, forums, and other ways of presenting IFC and engaging in thought leadership

Selection Criteria

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree level program with an expected graduation date after December 1st, 2023, to be eligible.

Field of study, Master’s in Business Administration or Master’s Level Degree in Finance

Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, thoughtful scenario analysis, and diligence in the quality of one’s own work

Demonstrate active listening skills by being attentive and listening to others to identify client and stakeholder needs

Excellent drafting skills in both English and French

Ability to distill and summarize large amounts of information from various sources to prepare business documents and presentations

Team player with good problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to execute tasks timely and effectively

Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word is a must.
