ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:
In 1937, Toyota was founded by Japanese, Akio Toyoda. In the ’50’s Toyota aimed to look for a way to increase their quality of automotive vehicles. They did this by touring production facilities and observing the latest manufacturing technology for vehicles.
Today, Toyota is flourishing in a number of categories, adjacent to automotive vehicles. In many countries, they have distributors/ plants and manufacture not only vehicles but also steel, cork materials, rubber, woollen goods and more. However, Toyota’s main aim is to create a flourishing society by focusing its business on the sales and production of vehicles as well as be a power-house in the corporate world by contributing to society via their business operation.
Their initiatives are a reflection of their values, mindset and drive and are formed by their corporate principles and strong relationship with clientèle and stakeholders. Toyota South Africa was formed in 1961 and has become a big part of local culture. Just like its founder, Toyota South Africa has aimed to make its purpose a positive one to the South African economy and culture.
DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
Duration: 7 Months
Toyota South Africa is inviting candidates to apply for a 7-month learnership at the company, to gain working experience and training in various technical disciplines. The successful learner will receive a NQF 2 Certificate after completion of the programme.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Candidates must have a minimum Educational Qualification in any one of the following:
Mechanical Trades: NTC3 qualification
Technical Matric Subjects: Mathematics, Physical Science, Engineering Drawing, Graphic Design
The above, along with a trade-related / mechanical subject (Electrical Trade NTC3) or any of the following Technical Matric Subjects: Mathematics, Physical Science, Engineering Drawing, Graphic Design, Electro Technology / Industrial Electronics and a subject related to trade
